Kate & Travis

In 2011, Kate and Travis married. Their love for horses and the Western lifestyle brought them together and continues to be a central theme of their lives. Both attended Texas A&M University as student-athletes. Kate went on as a scholarship athlete for the 12x National Champion Equestrian Team. Travis was a highly recruited linebacker for the Aggie Football team, as well as a top tie-down roper for the Rodeo Team.

Over her riding career, Kate has won 6 National Championships and most recently, a World Championship in western horsemanship in 2018. She brings over 20 years of experience in riding and teaching horsemanship, with a passion for helping beginner riders.

Professionally, Kate has coached over 200 beginner riders, many of whom have gone on to have their own great successes in the arena.  Regardless of her students' riding goals, Kate's focus on foundational skills helps all her students develop a connection to the horses which leads to more confident and enjoyable riding experiences.

Travis grew up on a horse ranch, riding horses since he could walk. Between his childhood of youth rodeos, riding for Texas A&M’s Rodeo Team, and now competing on the Senior Pro Circuit, Travis has won countless championships, including his most recent TSPRA State Champion Tiedown Roper in 2022.He learned from the best, his father, who raised and trained their horses and went on to win the Texas Championship on their great mare Goldie. Today, father and son still raise horses and ranch together.
