Kate is the founder of Highbrow Ranch in Caldwell, Texas. She's currently showing reining horses — and loving it — and plans to continue to raise, own, and ride reining horses for years to come.

From 2008 to 2022, Kate owned and operated Life in Stride Riding Academy, where she focused exclusively on beginner riders. Her fun-loving personality and her own first-hand understanding of how hard learning to ride can be allowed her to teach new riders successfully — and many of her alumni went on to become wildly successful competitors in their own right.

In 2023, she started her MBA program at LSU. After finishing in 2024, she decided to try her hand at a new part of the horse industry — one focused on helping a large but underserved population of women who want to own and ride horses but have limited guidance, don't know where to start, or have been taken advantage of by professionals in the industry.

Today, Kate is combining her favorite things: helping women who share the same dream she has, all while living that dream herself.
